Glass-free all the way through
Silica-encased rayon is flame resistant by nature. There's no textile fiberglass and no topical FR chemical to wash out or wear off, and nothing sheds when a cover comes off.

Quote these sizesStarting January 1, 2027, California bans textile fiberglass in mattresses and their components. If fiberglass is anywhere in your FR barrier, you need a new one qualified before then. FireSocks are glass-free, so starting a sample run now keeps your 2027 production on schedule.
Why FireSocks
Silica-encased rayon is flame resistant by nature. There's no textile fiberglass and no topical FR chemical to wash out or wear off, and nothing sheds when a cover comes off.
Knit to stretch over the core and recover, so corners hold their shape instead of rounding off under the ticking.
One person, no sewing, no stapling, no separate skirt. A sock goes on faster than a wrap and keeps the line moving.
Built to be compressed, rolled and boxed, then recover on the customer's floor without splitting or bunching.
Every carton carries a lot number tied to its yarn and knit run. What passed your prototype is what ships next quarter.
A soft, low-profile hand that won't telegraph through stretch-knit ticking or add bulk to the quilt.

How it works
Tell us size, height, construction and monthly volume. It takes about two minutes.
Free samples ship for your prototype build, enough for a full 1633 test set.
You test your prototype. We send the barrier details your CPSC prototype record asks for: fiber content, weight and supplier information.
Cases or pallets, on net terms once you're approved. Reorder from the portal in a minute.

Straight answers
Don't see yours? Call us. A person picks up.
No barrier is certified on its own, and any supplier who says so is overselling. 16 CFR 1633 tests the finished mattress: peak heat release has to stay under 200 kW, and total heat release under 15 MJ in the first 10 minutes of a 30-minute open-flame test. Your prototype has to pass with our sock in it. We make that easy with free samples, our own test-build data and the barrier details your prototype record requires.
Silica-encased rayon, knit into a stretch sock. The flame resistance is inherent to the fiber: when the sock meets an open flame, it forms a protective char layer instead of feeding the fire. There's no fiberglass and no topical FR chemical treatment, so there's nothing to wash out, wear off or shed.
No. FireSocks are glass-free, and we'll put that in writing for your files. That matters even more now that California's fiberglass ban takes effect on January 1, 2027.
Yes. Every FireSocks customer can put the FiberglassFree™ certified-product badge on mattress models that use FireSocks as the fire barrier and contain no textile fiberglass anywhere else. Register the model with us, download the brand kit, and use the badge on labels, packaging and listings at no extra cost. See who qualifies.
